The Student Council is intended to be the voice of the SBA student body as a whole and set up much like a government. Students take on leadership roles relaying information to their peers and considering their opinions in an effort to make the life of a student at SBA more fun, enjoyable, and interactive. Some of the events they host are: The Monster Mash Food Drive and Show, The SBA Talent Show, and the Spring Door Decorating Poster Contest. This year they also gave suggestions to the Home and School Association as to some fun activities for the Junior High Spring Event.

Forensics is the art of public speaking. The school forensics team is a place for students to learn poise, confidence, and all the aspects of verbal declamation needed in front of an audience. It is not only for those who enjoy acting (and talking in class!), but also for the shy and nervous who want to learn how to give better presentations and reports at school -- and in life. Team members compete in tournaments and a small fee is required to cover registration in these competitions. Commitment runs from September to March.
