Many of us are doing a lot of walking these days. Let’s see how far we can walk as a community. Can we make it to Memphis? Los Angeles? Japan? Can we go all the way around the globe? Put on your FitBit or use the GPS on your phone to track your miles when you go out for a walk or a run.

Enter your miles on our SBA Activity Tracker form here. We’ll add it up and see how far the SBA Community can get. You can check back here or on social media to see how far we go!

The theme for Earth Day 2020 is Climate Action!

"The enormous challenge — but also the vast opportunities — of action on climate change have distinguished the issue as the most pressing topic for the 50th anniversary."

"Climate change represents the biggest challenge to the future of humanity and the life-support systems that make our world habitable."

Design a poster or write a poem related to the Earth Day 2020 theme. Posters can be any size and design. Poems can be any style and length. Three winning posters will be selected from Lower School and three from Upper School. A winning poem will be selected for each grade level.

Entries should be submitted to Lauren Duckworth by Monday, April 20. To submit your poster entry, please provide a photo of the poster. Winners of the poetry contest will receive out of uniform passes and winners of the poster contest will receive ice cream passes when school resumes.
