As you can imagine, we have been thinking a lot about what this summer might look like for us in a world of COVID-19. After many hours of research and discussion, we have made the difficult decision to cancel on-campus Summer Play Days for the month of June. The safety of the students, your families, and our staff is our top priority. With Nashville still in an area with high community transmission and so many unknowns still surrounding the reopening of Davidson County, we feel that gathering on the premises at this point would not be a responsible act on our part.
While we love spending our summers with you and look forward to it every year, we do not want to jeopardize school starting in the fall in any way.
While we cannot offer Summer Play Days as we originally intended next month, we are happy to announce virtual camps with some of our favorite instructors. Come join us for Habitat Yoga, Mrs. Latour’s Book Club, Songwriting, Intro to Sign Language, and more! Please visit the Summer Play Days webpage for more information.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to learn and adapt. We will continue to monitor the data, recommendations, and guidelines of the CDC and local officials as we look ahead to the rest of the summer. Keep an eye out for more information regarding camps in July in the next few weeks.
