General information and sign-ups for SBA activities and services are below. Please read the directions carefully as submission information varies. School e-mail communications including Bear Facts and other special notices are sent via our website communications platform. If, for some reason, you have not been receiving school communications and would like to ensure that you are added, please complete the form below.

The best way to remained informed is to read our weekly parent newsletter, Bear Facts. Bear Facts is emailed every Thursday afternoon. NEW SBA Parent Portals
We are thrilled to announce a new product supporting St. Bernard Academy, Veracross. Veracross is a multilateral platform that will support the day-to-day running of classroom schedules, the academic record keeping for our students, the entire application/re-enrollment process for families, and a new password-protected portal access for SBA Parents!

Home and School Association (HSA)
The St. Bernard Academy Home and School Association (HSA) is a parent organization dedicated to the successful education of your children through volunteerism and financial support of the school. Every parent or guardian at SBA is automatically a member of HSA. Information on the 2023-2024 SBA Home and School Association, including this year’s executive committee and a letter from HSA President Sam Creamer, is now available on the HSA page. Check this page often for HSA updates, and follow the SBA HSA Instagram to stay in the loop!
bus service
Bus service is available to and from SBA beginning on the first full day of school. Pick-up and drop-off are available from Brentwood (Brentwood Library) and East Nashville (Eastwood Christian Church). To sign up for the SBA Bus Service please fill out the form. Please Note: Due to the limited seating, the bus service is on a first come, first serve basis. Once your form has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email from the office stating that you have a secured a spot(s).

aftercare
Aftercare information for the 2023-2024 school year, including calendar and rates, will be posted here and on the Aftercare page.

paying for bus service or aftercare
Community Pass will be the system that we use for Aftercare and Bus billing. Within this system you will be able to pay aftercare and bus invoices as well as get receipts for tax purposes. New parents will need to register students. Returning parents will just need enroll their students for the new school year.
lunch (chef's food service)
Please note that, for the 2024-2025 school year, lunch registration will not be physically collected from the student. Instead:
- Students will be asked to choose their lunch preference 24-hours in advance during a lunch roll call each morning.
- Payments will need to be made on the Chef’s Food Service website before the start of the first day of the school year. To pay your $250.00 meal plan deposit, click on the button below.

athletics
Students wishing to participate on an SBA athletic team must submit an Athletic Health Form. To do so:
- Download the Athletic Health Form by clicking the button below
- Have the form completed by the student's physician
- Submit your completed form by providing your name/email and uploading the form in the area below OR return the completed form to SBA Athletic Director, Jonathan Grigsby

Girl Scouts
We are enrolling girls in existing troops and forming new Girl Scout troops at St. Bernard! Wherever your passions lie, you’ll find a place for them at Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee. There’s no one “type” of Girl Scout. The only thing you should be is you. Whether you feel most yourself in the science lab, on the hiking trail, behind a camera, at center stage, or anywhere in between, Girl Scouts has activities that speak to your talents and skills.
If you are interested in joining or simply learning more, contact one of the volunteers below.
*Two volunteers and at least 5 girls are needed to form a troop.

Cub Scouts
Calling all adventurous spirits — SBA’s Cub Scout Pack 96 is recruiting new students in Levels 1-5! Both boys and girls are welcome to participate. Our year long pack schedule consists of camping outings, hikes, a neighborhood clean-up, a holiday cookie party, and of course the Pinewood Derby. Interested Scouts and parent volunteers should reach out to Cubmaster, Justin Paschal, at justin.lael@gmail.com.
music city arts academy
This year, Music City Arts Academy is pleased to be offering private music lessons taught by specialists in the following areas: piano, voice, drum, and violin. MCAA offers twelve (12), 30-minute lessons a semester; start date will be announced after school begins. Space is limited so registration is on a first come, first served basis. To sign up for private music lessons:

guitar school of nashville
Lessons for guitar and ukulele are offered here at SBA by Janet McLaughlin, founder of the Guitar School of Nashville. Included as well are lessons for banjo, mandolin and bass. Time spots are available Monday through Friday after school and study hall periods during the school day.
