Every year, Saint Bernard Academy reaches out to our community to ask for their support of SBA’s
Annual Giving Fund. This fund is vital to balance our budget each year. As an independent school,
tuition alone does not cover the cost of a SBA education.
By supporting the Annual Giving Fund, you are showing your belief in the mission of our school and
helping to make Saint Bernard Academy all that it can be. Gifts to the SBA Annual Giving Fund help the
school in many different ways including:
- Faculty salaries
- Buildings and grounds maintenance
- Teaching supplies
- Scholarship assistance
- Performing and Visual Arts
- Athletics
- Technology and Science
Every gift to SBA’s Annual Giving Fund is important. SBA values your participation at any level — it
truly makes a difference in the lives of every student. Participation is a significant factor in encouraging
foundation and corporate support. These organizations consider the percentage of parents, grandparents,
alumni and faculty who give as an indication of the quality of SBA’s program. Do remember that the
only gift that is too small is no gift at all.

Capital Gifts are vital donations in support of SBA’s mission and the specific initiatives undertaken by
SBA as part of its ongoing strategic planning process, as it looks to the future. Members of SBA’s
community have donated generously to many capital campaigns since the founding of SBA in 1866 to
today. Truly, generations of people have been involved to bring SBA to the place it is today.
Just recently, Saint Bernard Academy completed the Cup of Tea Capital Campaign and raised over $1.6
million in support of SBA’s Strategic Plan developed and adopted by the Board of Directors in 2002. At
the core of this is the extensive facility improvements plan currently being undertaken at SBA’s campus,
including the construction of a new Kindergarten, Dining Hall, Art Studio, Chapel, Computer Lab and
Junior High.
